Borned on February 21, 1940 John Lewis spent a majority of his life fighting racism, equality and firmly believed in using his voice to speak up and speak out about social injustice. John Lewis was a pioneer. According to Biography.com "One of the "Big Six" leaders of the civil rights movement in the 1960s, John Lewis continued to fight for people's rights since joining Congress in 1987." On July 17, 2020 beloved John Robert Lewis transitioned after decades of inspiring people to advocate for social, political, economic reform and to "get in good trouble".
