This guide provides a list of local and national community resources.

NC Resources

Triad Equality Alliance is a statewide program designed to promote equality for LGBTQ+ communities through advocacy, education, and storytelling. 

Campus Pride provide a list of national listing of LGBTQ+ College and Universities. 

North Star provides a list of local LGBTQ is located at 930 Burke Street in Winston-Salem. North Star provides a Rainbow Directory,SafeZone Training, and a Trans Clothing Closet. 

SafeSchool- "is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to creating a safe and positive learning environment for all students and educators in North Carolina, with an emphasis on actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identify, and gender expression". 

Guilford Green Foundation-"Guilford Green Foundation & LGBTQ Center unites and strengthens the greater Greensboro community by supporting the needs of our LGBTQ neighbors and promoting understanding by all residents".

Equality NC- goal is to create a safer world for marginalized people. 

Greensboro Pride is a community space for LGBTQ youth in Greensboro and surrounding areas. 

North Star LGBTQ community center in Winston Salem. 

PFLAG provides Forsyth County community with support for individuals and families.

Movement advance project mission is  "to provide independent and rigorous research, insight and communications that help speed equality and opportunity for all. MAP works to ensure that all people have a fair chance to pursue health and happiness, earn a living, take care of the ones they love, be safe in their communities, and participate in civic life".

LGBTQ Equality Map provides a scorecard for each State. 

Advocates for Youth platform provide a safe space for youth to get involved with political issues. 

Time Out Youth provides support, advocacy, and personal development.

Tech.com provides a resource to help support and empower LGBTQ students. 

GLAAD organization help to shift the narrative of the LGBTQ community through community discussion, advocacy, and confronting difficult issues. 

Educator resources can be found at GLSEN. GLSEN offers an inclusive curriculum, lesson plans, and professional development for educators.

National LGBTQIA+ Health offers webinars, resources, and learning modules on behavioral health, HIV, COVID 19 and so much more. 

FORGE Forward offers resources, training, and support for Transpeople.
